Dear Passing-Thru,
so happy to be here on your blog-site.
You have always been - to me- the great caretaker and supporter.
Now I also am allowed to read about your life and your views on important Christian issues.
You are great at this too. I sense a great deal of reflected thinking and living behind the posts you share.
One stupid question (somehow I feel free to be my ignorant self with you) about what you call Home Schooling.
Does that imply children being educated by their parent in all subjects, that is the children not attending public or private school at all? Or might it be parents teaching their children in Christian subjects?
To take up the entire education of ones children must be a huge challenge.
To teach what we call "religion" must, in my view, be a privilege.
I am without my PC and have no access to the English Bible today.
What I thought of when I read your post was the words from the Revelations;"I´m coming soon. Keep on to what you have got, so that no one shall steal your crown."
Was that your thoughts as well?
From Felisol
Hello Felisol --- nice to hear from U too --- this blog site is just an "experiment" lol as I am only "testing" the waters -- I would rather just make comments on other sites :-)
Home schooling is a big thing over here in the states -- they have a curriculum that is state approved on all the disciplines of public schools and in many cases even better -- My daughter has her teachers manuals and the higher disciplines are taught "online" by teachers with master degrees in those disciplines ie: chemistry , higher math etc. --
Your thoughts about the verse in Rev. could be viewed as to "zealously" guard our "reputation" in Christ or our good works in his name so that the enemy won't take what we worked for the glory of God -- this is not pertaining to our salvation in Christ but the works that follow our testimony I believe ---
Nice indeed Felisol to hear from U across the pond --

Dear Passing-thru.
I just now found out that you have been posting almost each day and I have been missing out!
I have your website right on my desk top but somehow it has just been showing the first to posts that you did.
I guess what I should of been doing is to go to my own blog and click on there which is what I did this morning.
How computer illiterate I still am!
Hmm..
Now I must read the posts that I have been missing over here at the Passing-thru's !!!!Love from Terry
PS A couple of my sisters and my Iowan sister- in- law home schooled their children. The school books were excellent! The only thing though is you really have to be dedicated to teaching the children. One sister was way too hard and strict at teaching,,,almost like she was playing at being a teacher...this failed, the other was far too lenient and the kids got so many days off...and Betty, well she really did try with her son, Ryan but found with the handicap that he has[MD] that she had to send him to a special class in public school where he did very well. She really did try but it was way too difficult...
The whole idea though I think is really good. The innocence in these home schooled children and their respect for God, country and parents just cannot be beat!....Not to mention the knowledge that they acquire!
